Starting day care can be daunting but all our branches who have young babies are very experienced in helping the whole family with the transition. The rooms for the very young babies are welcoming, homely and tailored for little ones. They will support your baby as they quickly develop new skills. Becoming more mobile and independent is a real milestone for your baby. You may be presented with some challenges that are completely normal at this stage but also so many exciting changes. Our nurturing staff are completely understanding and supportive of this stage and our rooms are designed and equipped to cater for your child’s need to explore in a safe, yet challenging, environment. All of your child’s developmental needs will be met, their abilities will be challenged but ultimately all of this is delivered with kindness and love.
We provide a healthy and nutritious menu which includes a hot lunch, morning and afternoon snacks for your child. The children are all encouraged to eat together, sometimes with the staff, to promote good table manners and social interaction with each other. We provide a daily vegetarian option and any allergies/dietary requirements your child might have will be strictly adhered to when preparing their meals. Water and milk are available throughout the day and at mealtimes.
Our staff will gently soothe your child to sleep on their own sleep mat with soft music. The youngest babies will have cots and their own sleep routine. Children in these rooms usually sleep from 12 - 2pm. We periodically offer sleep advisory sessions to support you in establishing a healthy sleep routine at home.
We keep a daily report for your child which gives you real time updates and photos via a reporting app. You will know exactly when, what and how much your child has had to eat and drink, you will see sleep times, nappy changes and what they have been doing during their busy day in nursery. Observations on your child’s development will also be logged on the app so you can see all the new skills they are learning.
